The moisture on tlae basement wall should Clear when the drai,nage of runoff rainwater is directed away fzom the hause. T. reconunend rain gutters and extended down-spouts to aocomplish thia taak. 2. The aores of thi.s wa11 should be filled with grout and reinforclnq rods should be installed in the grouC to prpvide atrength and continuity. Z suggest 3/8 inch (,f3) deformed reihforcing steel rods, one in every other Cora hole, minimum. 3. In thie case 2 recoxnmsnd that tihe mortar from this diaqonal crack ba removed approximately 1 inch deep ana that the blvck joi.nts ba tuckpointed to finish the joints. . 9. Adequate penaanent alope away from the house of a11 landscaping within 20 feat of the house wiil solve this problem. 5.
