As you are aware, at its meeting of June 1, 1993, the Eagan City CouncIl voted to not
authorize the release of building permiu in advance of final plat for The Woodlands North
3rd Addition. As was indicated by the City Council in their action, the decision is intended
in no way to be a reflection on either Robert Engstrom Companies or Countryhome
Builders. Rather they need to be certain that in all platting situations, the protection and
guarantee afforded by the 5na1 plat aze in place prior to construction on-any portion. We
look fonvard to completing the processing of your final plat at the earliest opportunity.

Thank you for this information. The property is zoned PD, Planned Development, and is subject to typical twin-home
zoning standards. As such, the proposed patio must be located outside the easement area, 5' from the side lot line.
I pulled the site survey from our building permit records, which shows the entire lot and placement of the building on
the property. Unfortunately, it does not show existing flatwork, retaining walls or railings. To get a better
understanding of how the proposal fits on the lot, setbacks, etc. I transferred the information you submitted onto the
site survey. Please review it and let me know if it is an accurate reflection of what is proposed. If so, then it does appear
to meet zoning standards for this property. If not, then please provide additional clarifying information.

This correspondence along with the site survey and patio plan will suffice for this project. In the future, you will need to
fill out a Zoning Permit application form, including similar information on a site survey or scaled site plan. I expect the
Zoning Permit application form will be available on our web site in the very near future. Impervious coverage was not
pertinent in this case, but for future reference, you may also be asked to provide the calculation of the impervious
