Iarn in receipt of your letter dated December lst wherein you indicated that during the
snow plaving operations on December lst, you experienced damage to your boulevard area
as a result of the plaaing operations. I apologize for any damage that may have been
createcl due to these snow p1awing operations. It i.s the City's nolic_y to pexform any
repair and restoration created by our maintenance operations in the spriny of the year
when this type of repair work can most efficiently and economically be performed.
I assure you that this dariage was not intentional nor cansed by any t_y_pe of neglect on
behalf of our snow plow operators. It is very difficult for them to deterr.iiu.ze where
the edge of the roadway is on Lmir.proved stxeets wi.:th no curb and gutter to defi.ne the
proper width of the street. In addition, imtil a hard freeze can set in, the soft
ground off the edge of the roadway cannot withstand the pressures of the snow plcxvs.
We try to clear the streets of all snow accunulation tA the propes caidth, but as I
have indicated above, it is difficult to clefine the limits of this proper width on
these Lmimproved stmets.
I am forwarding a copy of this letter to our Public TNbrks 1+4aintenance Departrnent to add
to their spring repair/restoration work fran the winter snow plowing schedule. If you
need additional assuranoes net-+-a;ning to this repair, olease contact Mr. Bill Branch,
our Superintendent of Public vbrks. Mr. Branch has not been able to return your phone
call as he has been ill and away f=n his work duties for the past week. Hopefully,
this written response alleviates your concerns.

The operator missed the curve on the road in front of 4555 Lenore Lane.and
cut quite a bit into the yaxd of 4555 Lenore Lane. I called and reported this
to a clerk at 454-5220.
With the plowing season just beginning it is a concern of mine that this type
of plowing could continue thru the winter and cause considerable more damage
to our property.
A request was made to speak to the maintenance engineer regarding this problem .
He was to call me, so far no follow up has been made.
This letter is to noti£y the Gity of Eagan that comes spring and clean up time
thexewill be a matter of restoration and who is going to pay for,, this restoration.

During construction of sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water main
construction, encroachment onto our private property by Parrot
Construction Co. was done without out permission for spoil piling
of dirt.
Removal of asphalt driveway approach, over excavation of service
connections and improper replacement of excavation meaning no
compaction of trench was done causing yard earth to erode into trench.
Attached is correspondence and request for reimbursement for
materials and labor.
It took from May 24th to September 4th to get the driveway appreach
replaced with asphalt. fteplacement was done very rapidly and poorly
with no sealcoat.

This is a follow up of the conversation we had earlier today in reference
' to resi;oratian of the street, boulevards and driveway approaches on
T,,enore Ln, between Beecher Dr, and Cliff Rd. `
I want to relal:e to you that in reference to these restorations, I
received the line rj.nd grades from the City of Eagan when I originally
installed my drivevray, graded my.boulevard and planted boulevard trees.
I am requesting at this time they be replaced accordingly.
Another concern I have is people are getting their cars stuck in the
gutters b;,cause of the la.ck of densification of the C1.ass 5 base. T`m
wondering if the Class 5 that was installed ineets snecifications. It
, looks quite fine and lscking in binder, and should be compacted to
minimize erosion if at all possible.
Lastly, I'd like to shaxe with you that I had my driveway sealcoated
tieith torpedo gravel and was wondering if this same material could be
used when making the asphalt repairs and sealing.
