You will note from the '77 letter, that it has been well over 8 years for myself (and LO plus years for other neighbors). Recently Roger Lee of Peoples Gas has submitted two proposals to the home office for approval. Both were rejected with the reasoning the projects weren't cost justifiable. Given the fact that Peoples Gas may not recover their initial costs to provide us service within their current time requirements5 I submit the following: A. South Oaks residents have been and are still using less than cost justifiable fuel since originally advised by Peoples Gas that service would be coming in. B. Their gas will continue to be used long after the project costs for providing the initial service have been recovered. C. With an "exclusive franchise", I believe Peoples Gas should Live up to past commitments and bend a little further when their the only supplier we can turn to. Peoples Gas could definitely use the P.R. I and the South Oaks residents are asking your help in encouraging Peoples home office to service our area for the'81 482 heating season. With the Overhill Farm Addition requiring gas also, it would benefit our surrounding coffinunities as well. I will be happy to forward any positive word related to your efforts on our behalf.
