LANDSCAPE PLAN REVIEW/N5P SUB-STATION
A. Landscape Plan Review for NSP Sub-Station, Lot 10, Block 2,
Eagandale Center Industrial Park #3--Recently action was taken to
approve a sub-station requested by Northern States Power Company for
construction on Lot 10, Block 2, Eagandale Center Industrial Park
#3. As a condition of approval, there was a reguirement that a
landscape plan, once submitted, be reviewed by the City Council.
For a copy of the Planning Department remarks and landscape plan,
refer to pages
Attached on page is a copy of a landscape plan for the Northern
States Power Lone Oak sub-station. The Planning Department has
requested additional pines and Amur maples in various indicated
areas. This landscaping scheme is more consistent with the Dakota
Electric sub-station by Dodd and Cliff Road.
The landscaping required for this site as well as the Dodd Road site
is substantially better than the one alonq Pilot Knob and the sub-
station located on Cliff Road on the Eagan/Burnsville corporate
line.
ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED ON THIS ITEM: To approve or deny the
landscape plan as submitted by Northern States Power for a sub-
station on Lot 10, Block 2, Eagandale Center Industrial Park V.
SPECIAL NOTE: The attachments referred to above were not available
for distribution with the packet. This information will be
included with the Additional Information memo on Monday.
