DATES OF EVENTS - End of May, 1989,'the broken sidewalk is put in a pile in the front yard (and left there all summer) and a new sidewalk is poured. > SEPTEM6ER 13, 1984, a little Bobcat shows up and removes the broken concrete and somewhat fills the hole under the driveway with a shovel - by hand - and as the man is doing that, he tells me it really should be packed better under the driveway if we don't want it to crack or hreak. (I was not notified before they came. - As I had requested they just simply call and let us know.) SEPTEMBER 14, Plymouth Plumbing corrected trap plate in the shower. SEPTEMBER 15, 1989 - Letter concerning garage daor section - on order. SEPTEMBER 18 - John George calls in the evening to come over the next day. - I have other commitments. Mr. George said they would replace them and this time would put the finger grips or openings on the sides instead of the in-between part of the doors, so fingers could open the doors. The 32' was is NOT level and the shower is FJOT squared because of it, since that is one of the walls that holds'=the' shower doors squared. (or should hold it square, I should say) Because the doors are not squared, the shower door has a tendency to open while taking a shower. The floor in the shower makes a very loud crackling noise while showering and also still makes the noise for about 20 min. after you are out of the shower. B R A S S F I X T U R E S are NOT in the bathroom as part of our DELUXE BhTIiR00M. We paid an EXTRA amount of money for a deluxe bath (the Builder determined the amount - NOT US.) Mr. P4arvin George (owner of Marvin George Builders HIMSELF came to our apt, before the bathroom was complete and saw a video tape in my livingroom of a shower we wanted him to design for our new home. As he was watching the video, I asked him if he saw the "BRASS" in the bathroom in the video and he said yes and that the bathroom would be NO PROBLEPI. He said he would NOT give us the mirrors all around the walls, like the one in the video and we agreed that would be fine. He then said he would give us a large mirror over the vanity and we agreed that would be fine. Other than that, it would be like the one in the video, but with the shower and tub on the same wall. He sat at OUR table in our apt. and designed the vanity and shower - himself. When Mr, f4arvin George came out to our new home this past July, 1989, we talked about the video and at that time Mr. Marvin George informed me that he "MfiANT" brass on for the outside of the shower and not even the faucets. (He did put brass faucets in the shower - after much dise'ussion) He "MEANT" for the only the outside of the shower. It was OUR I M P R E S S I O N from him that brass would be all in the bathroom. It was NEVER mentioned only the shower. I informed Mr. Marvin George we could not read minds and that our impression was not just part of the bathroom to have brass and part to be done in chrome. It looks tacky. LIVINGROOM - DININGROOM AREA - Carpet skimpy at top of stairs. KITCHEN - Floor near door woobles and wiggles when you step on it. Both oak wraps do not match the finish on the cabinets. Mr. George suggested "WE".go out and buy a finish that matches and paint;them. US.? Several cabinet doors are cracked. Severa•l cabinet door hinges are cracked and not connected. Linoleum in kitchen is bubbling in several places: LOOSE carpet going from kitchen to livingroom - It is sooooo skimpy that its not enough to 'grab' (My mother is almost blind and I am afraid she may trip and end up in the.hospital, so we keep a sma1.1 carpet over the L00SE carpet.) Floor near nook area is bowed. The kitchen door (sliding Glass Door) also does NOT seem to be squared. When it is opened a crack - the seal is not squared. The floor lock on the door needs another part or something. The lock is NOT working properly. FRONT BEDROOM - Okay, but the window cranks were just adjusted and we are afraid they may come loose again or break. MASTER BEDROOP1 - Creeking noise when walking into or out of bedroom. Mr. George said they could put boards or tighten boards below to stop the creeking. (We won't mention the vanish paint on the one wall that needs a coat of white paint to cover it) One more note on the BATHROOMi - the original floor plan for the-- house had 2 bathrooms (A hall bath and a master bath) we elected to have one large bathroom (at a additional cost to us) so, Rtr. You passed this detail to me and after reviewing the paperwork, I called Mr. Young Ciry Administracor and let him know that we necded the design stamped and signed by an engineer licensed in the State of Minnesota. Also, the siding would require the same design change and signature as the roof.
