RE: Inspection w 712 McFaddens Trail
Eagan, Dakota County, Minnesota
As requested, a site visit was condueted an August 1, 2002
to evaluate reported questionable soils within a footing trench
excavation for construction of a single family resideace.
At the time of the inspection, the footings had been fully eacavated
and forms were in place. A section of the rear footing, near the
mid-point stepout, had been aver excavated ta remove a tree stump.
Soils within the excavation consisted of a moist medium/soft siltp
clay. A 3 faot handauger probe conducted at the hase of the
excavation indicated stiff clay soils at depth with no ground
observed. Only minimal amounts of dark horizon "S" soils and smal2
roots remained within the side walls of the footing trench.
In our opinion, the referenced correction and observad subgrade
soils aze acceptable, and will provide the required loadbearing
capacity £or the proposed residential structure.
