I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your assistance in
identifying the approximate location of the abandoned well at 3345 Highway 55.
The owners of the property have been notified and are currently trying to
schedule a licensed well driller to properly seal this well. I'm sure the
information you provided will save them time and expense.
I would also like you to know that I will continue to work on the other
problems we discussed. As you are well aware, the wheels of government turn
slowly, but I have not forgotten about your concerns.

On the attached form is the City's response to your search request on the
identified property. The information includes the original amount of the
assessments and the payoff amounts of the assessments on the parcel. In
addition, pending assessments are included for improvement projects that have
been ordered to be lnstalled by the City Council as they may affect this parcel.
The levied and pending assessments may or may not reflect the complete assessment
obligation based upon the parcel's current use or zoning. Cettain parcels have
not been assessed at the appropriate rate per their zoning/use. The City's
policy is to review the assessment obligation of parcels at platting, replatting,
rezoning, waivez of platting, and prior to the issuance of conditional and
special use permits and certain building permits and in other unique situations.
A condition of approval requires the parcel to assume its additional assessment
obligations that have not previously heen levied for existing puhlic
improvements. The City's Engineering Division can provide further clarification
of this policy, if you desire.
