a few deteriorating fesidences•that are badly in need of repair
and paintirig, as well as baclt5*ard cle;3.n-ur. This is effecting
real estate property values of adjacent neighbors, and actually
tivhole neip;hborhoods. Eagan needs a code better than just re-
quiring laivn riiovrine and front ya;rd litter, so cleanup and
mairii;enance ca-ri be anforced. I'm not tallcing of boats, tra,ilers,
and neat wood piles, just neat up-keep of homes and back yards.
Back yards are a concern here everyone has to look over ever,y
one elses ya.rd every lay; I don`t tLink t;liis-is asking too much
as everyor_e has a social and communii;y responNibility rahen we
live as close together as thre do today.
I have a friend who :.old his home i^ the paat year and had
to take 35,806.00 1ess because of his 31eigllbors unkept property,
this isn't fai-r to anyone.
I am enclosing a copy o8 the Burnsville "zonin, code bull-
etin" regarding property maintenance. ThiU is a simple enough
code that could be easilY Ue used by Eaga.n.
I and ot::ers ha.ve tried over the past couple of years to
get =.omething done aboul, this sittiatian and as yet to no avail.
I am hopeing we can get some definite action soon on this
matter. This time of year would be a sood time to get t:is into
