In efforts to provide some assistance to the property owners experiencing the problem I stopped out to take a look at the problem. During my visit I noticed that your use of the reaz drainage and utility easement reduces the ability of the reaz yards to drain to the east. The purpose of the five foot drainage and utility easement is to facilitate the drainage of the area and to allow for the installation and maintenance ofutilities. Although this easement area is your property, it has been dedicated as a public easement for the purpose of drainage and utilities. Therefore, the City is requesting that you remove any items within the easement that may reduce the drainage and restore your rear property line to allow for drainage.
