The loading for the cantilever will be floor load of 40 PSF LL and 15 PSF DL. There is also 2 ft tributary roof load with a 35 PSF LL and 15 PSF DL. There are also (2) 2 ft 6 inch wide windows in the wall above the cantilever. The floor trusses are 16 inch deep @ 24 inches o.c. and extend over 20 ft. The bearing wall is CMU w/ 2x6 sill plate and extends 6 inches above the bottom of truss. Required Construction Use 2x10 SPF 42 on each side of existing floor trusses. Extend 2x10's 6 ft into floor system. Glue and nail w/ 16d @ 6 inch o.c. to top chord and webs. Solid block at bearing wall. The outer rim to be 1.75 x 9.25 LVL. The LVL is to be fastened to end of 2x10 joist w/ LUS28 Simpson joist hanger installed "upside down" to distribute concentrated loads.
