Jim:
Two issues, the first is Minnesota Public Radio's request for the
property east of Seneca. Recall that the city code prohibits a
reapplication for variance or conditional use permit within twelve
months for the same facility. MPR has apparently filed the new
application for its broadcasting towers now east of Seneca. It would
be helpful if you could review the new application together with the
old file. I would like to sit down and discuss both situations with
you. The City Council will need, at some time in the future, to
decide whether the new application is in essence the same as the old
application. It strikes me that the issue of the facility in location
"A" or lpcation "B" is the same and the crux of the issue for the
council is whether a change in location is in fact a different
application. If you have any thoughts on any of this I would be
interested to hear them.
The second issue is a call by a Ms. Fuller, work number 456-1143 and
home number 454-4480..Ms._Fuller lives on Highridge Terrace and has
complained abouti 1475 Highview. This is a residence with large weeds.
She has been talki»g to LeRoy an& I believe the city has acted
appropriately under the circumstances. The notice has been sent out
and ultimately a work order has been sent out to have the weeds cut. '
You may want to Yeview this matter. In addition, it is Ms y..Fuller understanding that the person who lived at the corner oighway 3TT Iand Lone Oak Ro as the automobile repair busines?.

that person, a"Met , has now moved to Highview. Sh:--sa3 she has;
counted eleven swagon's in the yard at one time. I said I would
contact you and express her concern. Apparently she has called the
police department. I am not sure whether she has called your office
speci£ically on this or not. Apparently the police said that as lon_q_,
as the vehicle's were registered there was nothing to be done. I'm
wondering if this activity would be in violation of a home occupation,
statute or a home occupation ordinance. She claims it is this ?
individuals business. Also, can we check to see if there is a
question about outside storage or limits on the parking of cars on I
residential lots. I will be glad to discuss this with you at your ;
convenience. I did advise Ms. Fuller that I would give you her name
and number and that I would assume that you would be in touch with
her. Please let me know if you would like us to do anything in this i
matter. Thanks.

Dear Property Owners,
This letter is to inform you that, in the near future, city crews will be installing a sign in
the middle of the existing dedicated public right of way (Hilldale Terrace) located
between your two properties. This sign will state: "FUTURE THROUGH STREET -
Planned with Development" to properly inform all interested parties that this public right
of way exists and is available for future public improvements to serve the property
located to the north of you (Lost Spur Golf Club). A copy of the legal Plat recorded at
Dakota County and an aerial photo showing the dedication of this Right of way between
your two lots are enclosed for your benefit.
Please be informed that THE CITY IS NOT AWARE OF ANY CURRENT PROPOSAL
OR INTENTION TO DEVELOP THE GOLF COURSE. However, it is always a
possibility. If/when such a development proposal application is received by the City, we
will send a written notice to the property owners of record widlin 350' of the Golf Course
boundary informing them of such an application.
This 60' wide dedicated public right of way is reserved for the potential extension of
streets and/or ufilities to serve the Lost Spur property. Private improvements, storage of
private property or other personal use is not allowed within this public right of way
without the issuance of a City Permit.
