(1) We stapped at the site twice 6ecause it was Gose and between the office and Eagan lunch spots.
It worked to our advantage with the weather being balmy at noon and very windy at 2-30. 809'0 of
the excavadon was checked on the first inspection. It was uniformiy firm and consisted of sandy
Gay, silty Gay with about 10°k brown Clayey silt in the garage comer. The clay materials were all
very blaCk but had none of the organic or soft material encountered in November next door at
1815 Jourdan Court
(2) There was no frozen soil anywhere in the exCavation. There was a trailer of insuleting blankeis
which were to be used for ovemight protection_
(3) On the second trip to the site the north 20% was fully excavated and the crew from Altied
Excavating was leaving. The north end of the site was cleanly excavated and the hand auger
penetrated no more than the other areas - 1"or so- for all probes.
(4) Aker approval of the footing foundations was given, the Concrete Contractor spread 6" of sand
inside the footings before spreading the blankets.
