Dear Ms. LcTarers:
I have been informed of your ooncern regarding the safety of the children
playing in the ballfield of the Cedar Grove Elementary playgroiutd area.
You indicated that because cars are parked on both sides of Diamond Drive,
it is difficult for motorists to notice children catching stray balls into
the street. You suggestion regarding the possibility of posting no parking
signs fran 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on the wst side of Diamond Drive has been
reviewed.
Beforesuch a parking restriction can be irutiated, we would require a
petition fran the harnaaners on the east side of Diamond Drive indicating
their support of this parking restriction. Our experience in the past has
indicated that if we were to place this parking restriction on the west
side, all the vehicles would park in fmnt of the residential pmperty
thereby creat;ng a pmblem for those hareoFmers. Therefore, before we
proceed we would like to be insured that thi.s problan wwald not oocur.
we will wait tn hear frcm the affected hareowners before we proceed with
the installation of your requested signs.
