access connection between Columbia Drive and the property at 905 Yankee Doodle Road
(905 YDR). The access connection would provide access to/from 905 YDR to Columbia
Drive, where current full turning movements on Yankee Doodle Road (County Highway
j 28) will most likely be maintained in the future, in accordance with the Yankee Doodle
Road Corridor Study, adopted by Dakota County and the Eagan City Council in 2007.
Municipal Center Currently, left turn movements to/ from the 905 YDR driveway are not provided due to

Dear Mr. Giesen:
We have completed our review of the construction documents submitted in pursuit of
obtaining a building permit for the above-referenced project. This review is not intended
to be an exhaustive and comprehensive report. It is our goal that this review will help you
in complying with the applicable codes and we are, therefore, requesting thatthe following
items be addressed:
The electrical power and lighting form must be completed.
The proposed shower must be accessible to both sexes and must meet Minnesota
State Building Code section 1340.0500, subpart 5, which governs handicapped
accessibility standards. Please review the design and submit revisions.
The wall between the office and the "shop" must be of one-hour construction. All
openings must be protected with assemblies with not less than a one hour rating.
4. Uniform Building Code section 905(c) states in part: "Mechanical ventilation shall
be provided capable of exhausting a minimum of one cubic foot per minute per
square foot of floor area". Please revise the H.V.A.C. proposal which indicates 3/4
C.F.M. per sq. ft.

As per our conversation today I am outlining the calculations for the overflow storage for the oil
tanks at Field Maintenance.
The Owner will only be installing 2 tanks which are 4'-0" round by 13-0" tall.
Use 110% of largest tank.
Area equais pi times radius squared = 12.56 sf times 13-0" high = 163.69 cf x 110°h = 179.69
cf.
Pit is shown 21" deep.
Area equals 19'-0" x 11'-0" = 209 sf times 1.75' = 365.75 cf minus the area the two tanks take
up = 43.98 sf = 321.77 cf which is greater than 179.69 cf and therefore adequate.
