What did you find there? The new rim slips behind the corner of the bay rim. The bay rim was water stained but solid. We did extend the ledger flashing around the bay corner so that rim should never see water again. It also looks like the rim joist flushed out with the outside of the sheathing. Did you run ice and water shield under the weather barrier above the rim joist down beyond the rim joist onto the foundation? The sheathing goes over down over the rim. The sill plate was sitting on a fibrous seal sealer (much like builtrite) which stuck out past the sheathing and actually trapped water and redirected it back toward the house. We trimmed that seal sealer off flush with the sill plate and foundation, ran a bead of caulk at that point then installed the sheathing down over the sill sealer. Then ran the ice and water under the house wrap down to the foundation. If you are using ledger—loks to re attach the deck ledger please see the attachment for the correct spacing and pattern for fastening the deck ledger.
