These panels consist of 16 gage channels with 1.375" flanges and a.586" retum on the flanges. Each channel is 5.562" wide. My calculations indicate that these panels can comfortably support a live load of 60 psf at a 4 foot span. I understand that your typical deck joist consists of a double 2 X 8 at 2"-0" on center. For a 60 psf live ioad and #2 Southern Pine lumber, the typical joist can span up to 13'-6". For #1 Ponderosa Pine you can span up to 1 l'-0".
