We were told that something would?de "one a6out it such as digging a ditch all along the road so it could reach the pond and drain off. An effort was made by Brian to start digging a ditch by hand, but that did not help as it would take a machine to dig a ditch and it wouid have to go all the way to the pond. We noor have a swarp sitting in our front yard, which we feel is a health hazard. It is stagnane water which is covered with algae. We hzive already pullzd a few dead snakes from it; which saye a lot aboat the condition of the water. We have also found kids playing in it and we certainly do not want them to get sick. I have contacced Bill Branch from the City of Eagan and he has stated that it is your responsiblity to provide proper drainage of Che water from the road and that is soraething you shotild have taken care of when you had the road built. The road was built up higher than the level of our propeity and was made to tilt towards our pr.operly su, consequently, the water.all runs down to the front of our property from the rosd and sometimes will extenCas much as 15 feet onto our property. What should have been done at the time and what we want done naw is to have some dirt brought in and spread all along the front portion of our property on both sides of the driveway from 15 feet aithin our properly line to the edge of the road in auch a manner as Co moke our property considerably higher than the road. This way all the water running off the road wi11 just run along the edge of our property but stay on the raad and hopefully to the pond where there is a erough made in the road foz the water [o zua off on to the pond. I'feel we have been very patient on this matter and I would like to see something done about this hefore Winter comes.
