A reques[ has been receivea from Park Cliff Development, Inc., for a ten-
foot variance from the 30-foot front setback requirement for Lots 1 through 4,
Block 1, Park Cliff Third Addition. The reason for [he variances was eo allow
more fiexibili[y in dealing with steep slopes and existing trees in the rear
yards of the lots and it was no[ed that comparable variances have been
approved in other locations. Smith moved, Thomas seconded the motion to
approve the applica[ion providing for up to a ten-foot variance with the
unaers[anding [hat the staff will directly determine the amount of se[back
allowed for each of [he four lots after a showing of need. All members voted
yes.
Smith then moved, Blomquist seconded [he motion Co instruct the s[aff to
request that all applicants be present for variance requests before the City
Council in the fu[ure. All members voted in favor.
