TC 14. The draft feasibility report for Project 911 (Berkshire Ponds/Safari 2"d - Street
Improvements) was approved and a public hearing was scheduled for February 1,
2005.
TC 15. A traffic control signal agreement for Project 920 (Lone Oak Rd/Neil Armstrong Blvd
Intersection - Traffic Signal Improvements) with the Dakota County Transportation
Dept was approved and the Mayor and City Clerk was authorized and the Mayor and
City Clerk were authorized to execute all related documents.
TC 16. The petition to vacate public drainage and utility easements on Lot 7, Block 1,
McCarthy Ridge and Lot 19, Block 3, Oslund Timberline was received and a public
hearing was scheduled for February 1, 2005.
CM/Paul 17. The final payment for Contract 03-08 (Thresher Fields - Park Development) in the
amount of $31,725.56 to Imperial Developers, Inc. was approved and the
improvements for perpetual City maintenance subject to wananty provisions were
accepted.
TC 18. The draft feasibility report for Project 918 (Pilot Knob Rd, Central Pkwy to Lone Oak
Rd - Street & Traffic Signal Improvements) was received and a public hearing was
scheduled for February 1,2005.
CM/Paul 19. The renewal of a one-yeaz contract with Lifeworks Services Inc. for the provision of
limited janitorial services in designated park buildings was approved and the Mayor
and City Clerk were authorized to execute the appropriate documents.
CM/Sandy 20. The renewal of an agreement between the Eagan Community Center and Heart Health
Living, P.A. to provide cardiac rehabilitation maintenance program services was
approved and the Mayor and City Clerk were directed to sign the agreement
document.
CM 21. The plans and specs and advertisement for bids for pool repair work at Cascade Bay
were approved.
Kent 22. An $875 grant from Sam's Club to purchase equipment, such as tasers, evidence
equipment and cameras, was accepted.
Kent/BobK23. A$3,400 grant from the American Heart Assoc to purchase 2 defibrillators, one for
the Police Dept and one for the Fire Dept, was accepted.
Kent/BobK24. An agreement for medical direction between HealthEast Transportation, Inc. and the
City of Eagan was approved.
ALL 25. Special City Council meetings were scheduled for January 11 and January 25 and a
retreat was scheduled for January 21-22.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
JDH/Mike 26. A variance for David & Lisa Zoe to exceed the 20% building coverage max by 2% for
a porch addition to the principal structure at 1480 Pinetree Pass was approved.

Dear Mr. Merrick:
At your request, this office has structurally reviewed the rear two-story living room wall of the above
noted residence. The purpose of the reNriew was to design the wall studs for both perpendicular wind
and axial load contributed by the roof. No other areas of the home were reviewed. Also, the design did
not take into account in-plane shear forces such as the framing being used as a shear wall.
Documents available for review included drawings prepared by Planco dated 11/21/00 and numbered
1/7, 3/7 and 4/7. Planco also verbally supplied the distance from the top of the first floor subfloor to the
bottom of the floor joists as 9'-1 1/8" and the distance from the top of the second floor subfloor to roof
truss bearing as 8'-1 1/8". These dimensions assume 16" floor joists.
The wall should be constructed as shown on the attached sheet numbered 1 of 1.
