Re: Development of Burr Oak Park
Dear Ms. Tkachuck:
Thank you for the letter dated May 17, 1982 concerning development of Burr
Oak Park which is located in your neighborhood.
The City of Eagan has contracted with a park consultant to prepare a park
master plan for the City of Eagan. The City is divided into 36 neighbor-
hoods and park issues are addressed on a neighborhood by neighborhood
basis. Parks are also addressed by the City on a community and regional
basis depending on the type of use and park being considered.
As you might have read in a recent newsletter that was sent to ail residents
in our community, we are holding public hearings for the purpose of pro-
viding input on various parks throughout our community and the public
hearing that would include your neighborhood park is scheduled for Monday,
June 7, 1982, at the City Hall. It would be appropriate that you attend
that meeting along with your family members or neighbors because it is
an appropriate time and place to provide input as to the type of improve-
ments you would Iike made in the future in Burr Oak Park.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, your letter will be made available
to the Advisory Park & Recreation Committee and the consultant will be
able to evaluate your concerns and requests as he proceeds with development
of a City-wide park master plan.
Again, thank you for your input; it is most helpful as we proceed with
development of our park master plan and the, development of parks through-
out our community.
