Uniform Mechanical Code, Section 1903b, limits the length of a dryer vent to 14 lineal
feet with two 90-degree elbows and a deduction of two (2) lineal feet for each elbow in
excess of two (2). There is a provision in the Mechanical Code to defer to the
manufacturer's specifications for length of run.
The Protective Inspections Division is concerned that this will pose problems in the
future. Please advise prospective buyers of townhomes in the Greyhawk Addition of this
deficiency so they can purchase a dryer that matches the condition iri their unit.
