As they exist currently, they are a significant traffic and sightline hazard. The challenge that motorists have seeing oncoming traffic obscured by these shrubberies in their current condition is will only become worse as they mature and continue to grow. Attached to this letter is a drawing showing what the City uses as a guideline in order to assure safe sightline visibility at corners far the traveling public and some digital pictures of the corner. I would like to set up a meeting with you at your convenience to try to determine what we might do to remedy the situation. While it is not our intent to destroy existing landscaping located in/on City Right of Way, we do want to make our roads as safe as possible.
