The total assessment for your property, legally described as Lot 2 of Skovdale Second Addition, included $4,000.00 for the street portion and $1,855.96 for the water lateral portion. In addition to the assessment adoption, a deferment of your water lateral assessment was approved. The enclosed Assessment Deferral Agreement needs to be signed by you in order to initiate the actual deferment. With your signatures, the water lateral assessment will be deferred for 30 years, the longest amount of time permitted by state law. The deferment will end if your property is developed or connection to the sanitary sewer or water services is made prior to this 30-year period. Please read through the agreement.
