All sash members shall be weatherstripped with Finseal weatherstripping or an approved equal. Foam tape shall be closed cell vinyl with an adhesive on one side and shall have a chemical resistance to strong acids, alkali, water, fungus and shall have an ultra violet inhibitor and shall remain consistent in temperatures ranging from -200 to 200°F. 1.3 CONSTRUCTION 1.3.1 SCREEN FRAMES. All screen frame members shall have accurately machined, light tight, butt corners for strength and shall be fastened at each corner using (3) stainless steel screws through the hollow extruded jambs into integral parts. The horizontal mullions shall be square cut and shall be fastened at each end using (4) stainless steel screws to avoid twisting. 1.3.2 SLIDER FRAMES. The slider frame shall have two weep slots accurately punched at each end to provide for proper water drainage. The slider frame shall have dust plugs located at the head and sill to provide for weathertightness. Slider frames shall be attached to main screen frames using stainless steel screws applied every 12 inches on center, foam tape shall be applied between slider frame and screen frame to supply weathertightness. 1.3.3 SASH FRAMES. Movable sash shall be fitted with two prelubricated brass rollers set in nylon housings. Sash corners shall be accurately machined miter style joints and fastened using (1) stainless steel screw into an integral port. The meeting rail of each sash shall interlock in the closed position and shall be double weatherstripped. Each operable sash shall be equipped with a plastic handle for operation and a cam lock at each meeting rail. All sash members shall be double weatherstripped. 1.3.4 SCREEN ATTACHMENT. All screen frame and mullion members shall have extruded ports to accept avinyl spline and shall securely fasten screen cloth to frame members. 1.3.5 GLASS. Glass shall be not less than "B" quality double strength in all units not requiring safety glazing, laminated or tempered glass (up to 1f4") shall be supplied as required to conform to safety glazing codes. 1.3.6 GLAZING. Glass shall beset in channel type gaskets (marine glazed). All vinyl shall be suitably retained to maintain a watertight seal between glass and surrounding sash members. 1.3.7 FINISH. Standard finish is electrostatically applied paint, Quaker bronze or Glass white. 1.4 STANDARD DETAILS 1.4.1 Standard details shall be submitted wlth the bid. All details shall demonstrate mounting configurations, fasteners, materials and wall thicknesses. 1.5 INSTALLATION 1.5.1 All units shall be installed in accordance with project specifications.
