Dear Jeff,
This drawing is for 8' foundation walls that I had Ulteig
Engineering send to me.
There was a question on vertical reinforcing on the wall we
poured at 1622 Summit Hill.
The drawings for 8' walls have never shown vertical reinforcing
until this year, and we were not aware of this. So, I called
Ulteig and they said the engineering was close to needing the
verticals and they usually like to work on a plus safety factor,
so they decided to put the vertical steel in. They said the
vertical steel was not necessary, if we did not want to use it.
So I had them update the drawings with no vertical steel in 8'
walls.
