CITY OF EAGAN
WHEREAS, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Eagan, Dakota County, Minnesota,
was held on the 2011 day of August 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall located at 3830 Pilot Knob Road,
Eagan, Minnesota; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to M.S.A. §412.851, the Mayor convened the public hearing to consider the
proposed vacation of public easements lying over and across the following described real property in the
City of Eagan, County of Dakota, State of Minnesota, described as follows:
A Drainage and Utility Easement dedicated in the plat of Sunset Fourth Addition, lying over
and across that part of Lot 7 and Outlot D, Block 1, said Sunset Fourth Addition in Dakota
County, Minnesota. Starting at the southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 1, then along an
assumed bearing of N81' 57' 27"E a distance of 6.06', then N26° 23' 33"E a distance of 6.06'

WHEREAS, the Council at a regular meeting on the 16' day of July 2024, accepted a petition to
vacate said public drainage easement pursuant to a petition and scheduled a public hearing on the vacation
for the 2011 day August 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall; and
WHEREAS, an Affidavit of Publication of Notice of Hearing in the St. Paul Pioneer Press newspaper,
dated July 18 and July 25, 2024, relative to the proposed vacation was submitted; and
WHEREAS, it having been determined that other than petitioner, there are no other parties,
including public utility companies, having an interest in said public drainage easement, and it appearing that
it is in the public interest to vacate such easement, and there being no objections;
NOW THEREFORE, it was resolved that the public easements lying over and across the following
described property, as shown in Exhibit "A" which is attached, is hereby vacated:
