This product is listed with Intemational Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), Canadian Standards Associations (CSA), and various state and city jurisdictions in the United States. The backflow prevention system in this product consists of a spring loaded diverter which closes the water passage to the hand shower to prevent back pressure backflow. The diverter automaticaily opens an air passage to the roman tub spout when water is not flowing through the diverter, and prevents back siphonage due to negaUve gauge pressure. Additionaliy, there is a second check valve located at the discharge of the vatve to the hand shower. Therefore, the system prevents both back pressure and back siphonage backflow.
