At the request of the Timbershore Homeowners Association, the City of Eagan's
Protective Inspections Division inspected your deck for safety. Our findings are as
follows:
• Joists are rotted
• Beams and supports are failing
For safety reasons, the City is requesting that you block off and discontinue use of your
deck immediately until it is repaired, replaced, or removed. For your convenience, we

Dear Mr. Rosene:
We strongly protest the proposed construction of a shopping area on the
corner of Pilot Knob Road and Crestridge Lane in Eagan. The potential
for traffic tie-ups and accidents resulting from the natural increased
congestion from a shopping center (when added to the substantial new
housing construction in the vicinity) is intolerable. Pilot Knob Road
cannot properly accomodate the traffic it now must handle, and the addi-
tion of a shopping area at this location is unacceptable. It is almost
impossible to enter Pilot Knob Road from Crestridge Lane in the good
weather and during the winter months the traffic coming up the hill on
Pilot Knob Road cannot be interfered with by entering traffic.
If shopping facilities were in short supply in the area, there may be
some reason to put up with the above described problem; however, with
Yankee Square and Cedarvale Center not more than 5 minutes drive, it is
senseless to encourage construction of another shopping area.

decision on September 5th. We will attend the meeting to lend our support.

Dear Sirs:
Now that the warm weather has arrived and a total assessment of damage
can be made, I would like you to send a representative to check the prob-
lems we are having with our t?ahouse at the Timbershore Addition.
Every winter there has been some damage to the concrete apron in front
of the garage and the concrete step has been replaced once already, due
to the extre me cold moving the ground. Usually the inside damage has
been confined to the central hallway and stairs. Your company has
repaired the walls and hallway coiling for the first couple of winters,
then last year we were planning to re-decorate so we did not complain.
The damage this year consists of cracks across the living room and
downstairs room walls, cracked walls in the hallway and on the statrs,
plus the corners of every room are coming apart and the ceilings are
lifting off of the walls.
During the summer months of 1977 you sent someone to run a pipe through
the garage from the heat duct in the corner by the downstairs bathroom
to the wall of the closet under the stairs. This was to try to keep some
heat in the wall between the garage and the house and thus try to elimi-
nate such great movement. This may have worked and solved many of the
problems, except that the pipe was never insulated. Consequently, the
wall was even colder this winter as we had a hole in the closet wall with
no heat going in. By the time the heat from the duct crosses the garage
it is not even warm anymore. Our downstairs room was so very cold this
winter and I am sure this was due to the fact that so much cold was
entering through the hole in the closet. On February 20, 1978 you sent
a man to wrap the pipe. Obviously too late to do any good last winter.
I hope to hear from you soon to arrange for a review of the damage and
for a time for the repairs to be done. -
