The following energy code requirements should be calculated and included with a building
permit application. (This list is = intended to be an exhaustive and comprehensive report, but
is oniy intended to help you in complying with the basic requirements of the energy code. For
further information, please contact the Energy Information Center of the State of Minnesota at
296-5175.)
~ Roof - ceiling assemblies - R-38 Ceiling insulation allowed if Advanced or
Improved framing techniques are used.
Advanced = ceiling framing that achieves full
insulating value to the outside of exterior walls.
e.g. energy trusses. Improved = min. 7-1/2"
between the wall top plate and roof sheathing.
- R-44 Ceiling insulation required at rafters or trusses
that are framed without Advanced, or Improved.

- All insulated areas must be separated from the heated space by a well-lapped, or seaied.

fixtures, etc., should be sealed.

(wind-wash) of outdoor air (e.g. at attic knee-walis, exterior wall plate line at rafters.

APPLICATION SUMMARY: The applicant is requesting a 20' variance
from the 30' front setback to the right-of-way of Yorktown Place.
Yorktown Place was not constructed as originally platted with
Sunset Fourth Addition. An "eyebrow" was planned to serve Block
3 but was never constructed. This has left a straight street
with a curved portion of right-of-way. This portion of the right-
of -way should ultimately be vacated. Until this is accomplished,
the applicant is asking to be able to locate the house on Lot
2 in conformance with the future straight right-of-way line.
An alternative to the Variance would be to have the "eyebrow"
constructed as originally proposed.
If approved the Variance shall be subject to the following condi-
tions:
• 1) The applicant and the City shall pursue the vacation of the
right-of-way area for the "eyebrow".
2) A waiver of plat shall be approved to adjust the lot lines
between Lots 1 and 2 and between Lots 2 and 3. The lot lines
shall be redrawn to conform to the attached plan (Exhibit
A) . .

NOTICE IS HERESY GIVEN that the City of Eagan, Dakota
County, Minnesota, has completed the proceedings for vacation of
certain utility easements and a portion of Yorktown Place lying
over and across the following described property:
All that part of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 3, and all that part
of Yorktown Place in SUNSET FOURTH ADDITION, Dakota County,
Minnesota, according to the recorded plat thereof lying
Southeasterly, Southerly, and Southwesterly of an arc, con-
cave to the South, having a radius of 60 feet, and a central
angle of 121 degrees 01 minute 33 seconds a:.d Northerly of
the following described line:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Section 25, ToNnship
27, RanBe 23; thence South 00 degrees 01 minute 45 seconds
East, along the West line of the Northwest Quarter of said
Section 25, assuming that sztid west line of the Northwest
Quarter havirig a bearing of South 00 degrees 01 minute 45
