STREET DRAINAGE CONCERN
Dear Mr. Pfaff:
Last week you had contacted a member of City staff regarding street drainage adjacent
to your residence at 1301 Wilderness Run Drive. At that time you identified a concern
with excessive water in the street adjacent to the end of your driveway. City records
show that the streets within the Wilderness Run First Addition were constructed by the
developer (Arnold Carlson) in the early to mid-1970's. It is the City's understanding that
the street grades established in this particular area of the Wilderness Run First Addition
were based on existing topographic features. As a result, the street grade adjacent to
your property was constructed at a minimal slope. At this point, there is no quick or easy
solution to your concern.
For your information, the City's Five Year Capital Improvement Program (1993-1997)
identifies the streets in the Wilderness Run area to be reconstructed in 1994. At that time,
the City will be reviewing the existing conditions of the roadways and identifying repairs
as needed. At this point there are no plans for street work in your area prior to 1994
other than routine patch and repair maintenance operations.
