Dear Mr. & Mrs. Chevalier:
The two property owners to the north of you have expressed concerns
reqarding drainage problems and the resulting erosion and
sedimentation that appear to be coming from the runoff of your lot
and other properties in the Wilderness Ponds development. An
inspection by City forces recently revealed that the unprotected
gravel portion of your driveway located on Lot 5 needs to be
regraded to ensure that the drainage is directed around the
northeast corner of your house and eventually into the pond to the
south of your residence. Please refer to the attached Certificate
of Survey submitted with your building permit.
We understand that when you constructed your access driveway, it
was with the intent that it would be a common driveway for not only-
your property but also Lot 5 through a future extension along the
north side of your house. The area requiring regradi.ng is located
on Lot 5 and,. as such, is not your responsibility and will be
provided by City forces in the near future.
However, a recent inspection has revealed a considerable amount of
wooden debris that will be in the way of performing this corrective
drainage work. Therefore, if you have any interest in salvaging
any of this material, I would request that it be removed by July 6.
After that time, if it still exists, the City forces will remove
this material as necessary to perform the corrective grading.
IAlso, we would appreciate it if you would recognize the benefits
associated with maintaining the intended drainage patterns and
provide a watchful eye to ensure that it remains functional as
oriqinally intended. I'd like to thank you for your anticipated
Icooperation and understanding in allowing the City to address this
Idrainage problem by helping those who are affected by these
