Several hand auger probes revealed localized wet, soft areas in the front apron area and garage slab area. This is probably due to iecent rains. It was recommended that the footings be dug and inspected at that t1me. It was further recommended that the slab area should be subcut 1 ft. below grade and clean, granular fill be placed $nd compacted if it was still soft and wet at the time of footing excavation. It may be necessary to subcut in the areas of the footings and replace with we11 compacted clean filla and redesign the footings.
