Re: Side yard drainage issues
Dear Mr. Mattingly,
It has come to the City's attention that grading improvements made along your
west side lot line are creating a drainage issue on your neighbor's property. A
public drainage easement exists along this common lot line and part of its
function is to ensure proper drainage from both lots. Improvements or alterations
made in this area should be either kept back from the lot line or constructed in
such a way as to not interfere with existing drainage patterns.
It is the City's hope that you can work with your neighbor toward a mutually
agreeable solution. The City requests your cooperation in removing or altering
the improvements to allow the drainage in the area to assume its natural and
intended course. If you have questions or are unsure how this can be
