section of the City Code regarding home occupations. I encourage

vehicles.
27. "Gara9e Sale° - Any display of goods and/or
salesmen's samples and sale of said goods on a property
customarily used as a residence. The person(s) conducting
the sale shall be a resident(s) of the immediate
nei9hborhood. -
28. "Home Occupation" - Any gainful occupation
meeting all of the following requirements when engaged in ~
only by persons reaidin9 in their dwelling, when that occu-
pation is conducted within the principal structure, when l
evidence of the occupation is not visible from the street,
when no signs are present othec than those permitted in the
"R' Districts, no stock in trade is stored an the premises,
over-the-counter retail sales are not involved, and entrance
to the home occupation is gained from within the structure.
A professional person may use his residence for consulta-
tion, emer9ency treatment or performance of religious rites,
but not for the general practice of his profession when such
general practice will involve the need for more than three .
(3) parkin9 spaces for the occupant and visitors. No acces-
sory buildings oc attached garage shall be used for such
home occupationa. Home occupations include professional
offices, minor repair services, photo or art studios, dress-
making, teaching limited to three (3) students at any one
time, and similar uses. A home occupation shall not be
interpreted to include beauty or barber shops, tourists
homes, restaurants or aimilar use; however, these may be
allowed as permitted under Section 11.20 of this Section.
29. "HOrticulture" - The production and storage of
fruits, vegeta6les, and keeping, raising or production of
livestock.
30. "JUnk Yard' - An area whete used, waste, dis-
carded or salvaged materials are bou9ht, sold, exchanged,
stored, baled, cleaned, abandoned, packed, disassembled, or
handled, including but not limited to scrap iron, and other
metals, tags, paper, rubber products, bottles and lumber.
Storage of such materials in conjunction with a permitted
manufacturing process when within an enclosed area or build- ,
ing shall not be included.
31. "Rennel" - As defined in Section 6.38 of the
City Cade.
32. "Land Reclamation" - Depositing four hundred
(400) cubic yards or more of materials so as to elevate the
grade. (1-1-83)
