I have made the decision to make Eagan my permanent home. I am outraged and appalled with the decision to assess'only townhouse homeowners for a bike path to be constructed along Johnny Cake Ridge Road. This is definitely a discriminatory decision!!! I do not even live close to the proposed path. It is absurb and discriminatory to not assess single-family homeowners. Not only is this blatant discrimination, but it seems politically motivated. I would like to think that the city officials are making decisions in the best interests of everyone in the city. I also question the policy of taking city revenue to pay for the sidewalk and path 6y the new CUB supermarket. Is city revenue to be used simply because there are no townhouse homeowners nearby to assess? It seems that the city is in desperate need of consistent, impartial and non-discriminatory policies!!! I urge you, please to repeal this very discriminatory policy and strive for equality in all future city decisions. Since I am not able to be at the meeting on February 15, 1989, this letter shall serve as my opposition to the discriminatory policies made by the Eagan City Council!
