Stan Lexvold with the City's Engineering MEG I'[LLEY Division met with you to discuss your cancem on June 21, 2002. Your concem Comcd Members addresses the lack of overland drainage from a significant portion of your backyard. Surface water ponds in the northeast section of your yard after a rain event or snow melt. THOMAS xEDGES In discussing your concem with Mr. Lexvold, other Ciry staff and the City's consultant on the storm sewer improvement adjacent to your property I was informed that your CtryAdrt,tniammr inquiry had been previously investigated and it was determined that the source of the drainage restricrion was related to the grading of that portion of your yard. It is likely that the ground surface of this portion of your yard is naturally low or was constructed at its current elevation during the construction of your home. Municipal Cen[er. One or more of the inquiries expressed concem about the possibility of flooding of your 3830 Piloc Knob Road residence due to the lack of overland drainage from this portion of your yard. I have been I assured by the City's consultant that their investigation of your inquiry indicated that the Eagan, MN 55122a s97 storm sewer improvements that were recently constructed adjacent to your property will Pho?e: 651.681.4600 provide adequate drainage to protect your residence from potential flooding due to Fa:c: 651.681.4612 overland drainage in a storm even[ similar to the 7uly 2000 Storm. He also informed me that it would not be possible to provide overland drainage from your yard to the 3501 Coachman Point recently constructed storm sewer improvements without filling the low portion of your Eagan, MN 55122 yard and grading a portion of your neighbors' yards.
