As you are aware the limits £or excavation are 10,000 square feet or five feet in depth. Your permit application indicates an area of 6000 square feet and a depth of six feet to be done over the next three to five years. It is my understanding after our last phone conversation that the depth of fill has now been revised and will not exceed the five feet in depth. As a result an excavation permit will not be required at this time. If in the future it is necessary to exceed the limits a further review will be done and permit may then be required. In addition it is my understanding that all material will be clean fill, not to include concrete or other demolition debris or items to be deposited at a compost site. The City is also requesting that any method necessary to control erosion, such as silt fence, hay bales, seed & mulch be provided for any fill associated with this understanding.
