Mayor Pat Geagan Council Members Peggy Carlson Cyndee Fields Mike Maguire Meg Tilley Come Out and Play Make the most of your spring and summer – come out and play in Eagan! Throughout
this year you’ll see the Come Out and Play logo in the Discover Brochure. This is your cue to think back to the following tips for fun: Become Child Like Recall the things you used to
love to do as a child amd make room this summer for your favorite childhood activity and incorporate it into your summer plans. Re-Discover what made those activities so memorable and
work on discovering the child-like experiences in every activity you pursue. Make a Break Life can become fairly routine, one day following the next. Imagine the delight that can be
conjured up by waking to an unplanned day at the park, Cascade Bay or the Blast indoor playground. Make your break something spontaneous and out of the ordinary. Break out of the usual
pattern and head to the Eagan Rotary Bandshell for a new version of “dinner out” followed by free family entertainment. Be a Tourist in Your Own Town That’s right! Be a tourist in Eagan.
How many times have friends of family blown into town with plans to go and see places and do things that you just take for granted. Page through the brochure to find something you’ve
never done, always wanted to do or never thought about before. Try it – You Might Like it Summer has always been about adventure. Remember going to camp or family trips to new places?
Extend that sense of adventure this summer by trying inline skating, golf, tennis, fitness, nature or art class, adult sports,or any of the other great programs listed in this brochure.
Re member – Fun is “fun”damental to summer. Resolve right now to make the most of this upcoming summer season. What’s New Inside..... Adapted Programs .......................... 11 Cascade

2 Come out and play www.cityofeagan.com This edition of the Discover brochure is dedicated to Ken Vraa, Director of Parks and Recreation for the past 23 years. Many people appreciate
Eagan parks as the City’s crown jewels, but they may not know that Ken was instrumental in providing the leadership and vision for this extraordinary system. Eagan residents now enjoy
top notch facilities, well maintained parks and a myriad of recreational and educational program. Perhaps that’s why 99% of park users rate the facilities highly. Ken retires this spring,
and we wish to thank him for sharing his time, talents, and creativity. He will be missed.
