Deck permit nurnber EA090677 is soed on 811412(109
The deck footin, for the above address were installed at 12 inches wide by 48 inches
deep, are coned shaped at the bottom to be 18 inches, which complies with city code.. I
do have receipts from Home Depot and Menards showing that the 12 inch by 48 inch
tubes and bags of concrete were purchased to perform the work. My father and I did the
work ourselves we state that the above information is correct. It should also be
known that we reused the existing center footing, a 6x6 post, pre poured in the concrete at
the time of the patio installation by the previous owner. Before the new deck installation
we discussed with the person that installed this post that it was a 12 foot long post buried
in the ground 4 feet below the patio in a 16 inch hole. This post held up the previous
deck for approximately 2-3 years before I purchased the home.

Subject: Open deck permit # AE090677
Rodney and John,
The City of Eagan Inspections Department issued a permit for the installation of a ne de.. @ 1266 Timbershore Lane.
The final inspection was performed on 8/19/2009. On that date it was discovered at no footle: section had bee
called for and/or performed. At least one or both of the two footings
In question were poured into the patio slab below. The City realizes that in order to verify the depth and diameter of the
footing(s) the concrete patio would have to be partially demolished. co in lieu of doing that we will accept and affidavit
from you stating the depth and diameter of the footings that were installed per the reviewed plan.
Please include the address and permit number in the body of the signed affidavit.
Thank you,
Craig
