Dear Jeff:
As requested, we revised the structural drawing on sheet A1.0 to indicate the discovery of a roof and floor
load supporting beam inside the floor framing. The attached sheet A1.0 dated July 7th, 2015 shows the
revised LVL roof headers and support studs resting on the existing floor beam.
Also, it is our understanding that the closet bump out in the bedroom near the stairs has been deleted and
this is also shown on sheet A1.0 dated July 7th, 2015.
When installed as indicated above, the new framing members shown on the attached sheet shall support the
loads as required in accordance with the Minnesota State Building Code. If you have any questions or
concerns, please feel free to contact us.

In my notes, I had that beam shown as 3 - 18" LVL. I analyzed it for the dead, live, and snow loads, and it
checked out. In addition to that, since the 7 1/4" LVL's take load off the beam and put the load directly on the
posts, the new framing actually reduces load on the existing floor beam.
Please see the attached for the stud and post notching. Let me know if there is anything else. Thanks.
