EAGAN -- Spectators at the
Eagan department summer
dance and tumbling recital July
22 at Pilot Knob School were un-
aware of the courageous effort of
coordinator Dawn Blomquist of
4504 Oak Chase Rd., Eagan.
Dawn. 17. is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Blomquist
and a student at Rosemount High
School, where she is a member of
the Irishette group.
June 4 she underwent surgery
for a tumor behind the knee at St.
Joseph's Hospital, St. Paul. When
the summer dance and tumbling
classes for 80 girls began June 14
at Northview and Rahn school.
Dawn arrived on crutches.
She continued to perform with
the girls and used the activity as
therapy. She now wears a leg
brace and plans to resume school
and the Irishette activities.

"Dancing Through the

colorful recital held under the
direction of Barbara Schmidt.
