NOTICE of SURCHARGE to UTILITY BILL
As you were informed in previous notices, the City of Eagan is conducting a city -wide
internal residential and commercial property inspection program aimed at reducing
the amount of stormwater and groundwater entering into the metropolitan sanitary
sewer system. The problem is called Inflow and Infiltration (1 &I),
On March 5, 2010 and April 9, 2010 you were sent formal notices regarding this
mandatory inspection and /or required corrective work order to avoid incurring
substantial surcharges to your Utility Bill.. Our records indicate that you have either
not yet responded to these notices or complied with their related repair
requirements.
The inspections and subsequent corrective repairs are necessary to find and eliminate
the sources of these excessive flows as mandated to Eagan by the Metropolitan
Council Environmental Services (MCES)
Inspections and Repairs Are Mandatory
FAILURE TO COMPLY results in substantial fees being added to your
Utility Bill until the property is brought into compliance with City Codes:
$150 /month for Single Family, Duplex, Townhome properties, or

You are receiving this letter to inform you that the surcharge has now been added to
your Utility Billing account effective August 1, 2010 and will continue for each
