RE: Review of Bids Received — 2014 Bluestone Lane, Eagan, MN 55122
The City of Eagan Utilities Division received and reviewed two bids for a sewer
line repair at 2014 Bluestone Lane, Eagan, MN 55122 on October 12, 2010.. The
bids were from:
• Blaylock Plumbing Co. at 7731 4 Ave 5., Minneapolis, MN 55423
• Benjamin Franklin Plumbing at 1424 3 St. N Minneapolis, MN 55411
The quotes were for labor and materials. As part of our Inflow and Infiltration
program the City of Eagan will reimburse the homeowner 50% of the costs
incurred to remove clearwater from our sanitary sewer system The low bid was
received from Blaylock Plumbing Co. The estimated cost of work is $1,475.. The
estimated reimbursement at this time is $737.50. It was determined it may be
necessary to install a sump basin to gather any water eliminated from the
sanitary sewer system by this fix. After the connection has been removed the
homeowner will determine if a sump basin needs be installed The City of Eagan
will participate at the rate of 50% in that work as well. The City of Eagan
approves the sewer line repair under the current bid as supplied to Khaisy Snider
