02/21/1976 - City Council Special .r MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EAGAN CITY COUNCIL EAGAN, MINNESOTA FEBRUARY 21 , 1976 A Special Meeting of the Eagan City Council was held on February 21 , 1976 at the Eagan City Hall at 1 :30 p.m. Those present were Mayor Polzin, Councilmen Rydrych and Wachter. Councilmen Rahn and Smith were absent. The meeting had been called to meet with Loren Law of Loren Law and had been called to discuss the possibility of contracting with his firm to help in our search for a City Administrator. The Councilmen informally discussed their views on the areas of greatest need for administration and the necessary qualifications to look for in the selection of an administrator. Upon motion by Councilman Rydrych, seconded by Councilman Wachter it was RESOLVED that Loren Law & Associates be hired to search for a City Administrator at a fee of $35.00 per hour plus expenses but not to exceed 25% of the annual salary of the City Administrator plus Mr. Law's expenses incurred. Mr. Law will meet with all department heads and consultants and revise the position description and specifications. Upon motion of Mayor Polzin, seconded by Councilman Rydrych a Special Meeting was set for Saturday, March 6 at the City Hall at 8:00 a.m. to approve the revised Position Description and Specifications. There was informal discussion concerning the possibility of furnishing Dakota County with a Letter of Intent stating there would be no assessments on other Dakota County park land in Eagan except for assessments for storm sewer and streets. No formal action was taken. Upon motion of Mayor Polzin, seconded by Councilman Rydrych it was RESOLVED that the fee for vending machine licenses be waived for Police and Fire employees.
