07/15/1976 - City Council Special MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EAGAN CITY COUNCIL
EAGAN, MINNESOTA
July 15, 1976
A Special Meeting of the Eagan City Council was held on July 16, 1976
at 6:30 P.M. at the City Hall. All members were present except Councilman
Rahn. Also present were Hauge, Hedges and Bolke. The meeting had been
called to review the possibility of locating the new police facility
on the city property on the east side of Pilot Knob Road.
The Clerk presented a letter from Berman and Lazarus, Attorneys,
putting the city on notice of a pending claim in the amount of $50,000 in
the event there is no ordinance violation on the Dahl property as noticed
by Dale Peterson, Building Inspector.
The Clerk next presented a list of property owners who were requesting
to be excluded from the water area assessment roll. Upon motion of
Councilman Smith seconded by Councilman Wachter, all members voting
aye, it was RESOLVED that the list of parcels as attached to these minutes
be approved.
Councilman Smith reported on the recent negotiations with Local
320. The City Administrator will review the new proposed union contract
and report back with recommendations.
The Council next met with Architect James Horne to discuss the new
police facility which will be built from Federal Revenue Sharing Funds.
This facility had originally been planned as an addition to the City Hall
and later as a separate structure on the present site. Upon motion of
Councilman Rydrych, seconded by Councilman Smith, all members voting aye,
it was RESOLVED that Mr. Horne proceed with site development on the city
property east of Pilot Knob Road which is the former Orr property.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
