MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EAGAN CITY COUNCIL
EAGAN, MINNESOTA
JANUARY 9, 1979
A special meeting of the Eagan City Council was held on
January 9, 1979 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall. Those present
were Mayor Murphy, Councilmembers Parranto, Egan, Smith and
Wachter. Also present was City Administrator Hedges.
1979 SALARY SCHEDULE
The City Administrator presented the 1979 salary schedule
for all management, clerical and non-union personnel. After
revision of several positions and in a motion by Council-
member Egan, seconded by Councilmember Parranto, all members
voting in favor, the 1979 salary schedule for all management,
clerical and non-union personnel was approved as amended,
with a copy to be filed with the City Clerk-Treasurer as a
matter of official record.

TRANSPORTATION FOR THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS
City Administrator Hedges recommended that consideration
be given to the purchase of a used police car or other type of
vehicle to be used by the Director of Public Works. After
discussion of the transportation need of the Public Works
Director, it was the recommendation of City Councilmember Smith
that the City Administrator and Director of Public Works
compile cost data on new and used pickups, station wagons,
intermediate sized cars and compact cars to determine which
vehicle would provide the best cost benefit for transportation
needs of the Public Works Director.
REVIEW OF PLANNING COMMISSION AND ADIVSORY PARK COMMITTEE APPLICATIONS
The City Administrator was given direction to contact
Sharon Radl, Harriett Johnson, Mike Thomas, Ginger O'Neill,
Robert Leach, Lloyd Krob, Tom Gits, Dick Carroll, and Ken
Hddtke to provide interviews for the Advisory Planning Commission
and Advisory Park Committee appointments. The interviews are
scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 1979 starting at 7:00 p.m.
