MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE EAGAN CITY COUNCIL
EAGAN, MINNESOTA
JANUARY 17, 1979
A special meeting of the Eagan City Council was held on
January 17, 1979 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall. Those present
were Mayor Murphy, Councilmembers Parranto, Egan, Smith and
Wachter. Also present was City Administrator Hedges.
PLANNING COMMISSION AND PARK COMMITTEE INTERVIEWS. Several
residents were interviewed by the Mayor and City Council who
had made application for an appointment to the Advisory Park
Committee and/or Advisory Planning Commission. After interviewing
approximately ten candidates it was agreed upon by the Mayor
and City Councilmembers that the two appointments be made to
the Advisory Planning Commission and four appointments be
made to the Advisory Park Committee at the next regular City
Council meeting to be held on Tuesday, February 6, 1979.
City Administrator Hedges asked if Advisory Park Committee
member Mike Thomas and Advisory Planning Commission member Ken
Hedtke would continue serving in their capacity until the
appointments are considered in February on their respective
committees. After a brief discussion and in a motion by City
Councilmember Wachter, seconded by Councilmember Egan, Mike
Thomas and Ken Hedtke were appointed to serve on the Advisory
Park Committee and Advisory Planning Commission respectively
until the committee appointments are made at the next City
Council meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 11:00 p.m.
