MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
EAGAN CITY COUNCIL
Eagan, Minnesota
June 9, 1987
A special meeting of the Eagan City Council was held on Tuesday,
June 9, 1987 at 6:30 p.m. at the Eagan Municipal Center Building. Present
were Mayor Blomquist and City Council members Egan, Smith, Ellison and Wachter
for the purpose of convening the Annual Board of Equalization Meeting. Also
present was Administrative Intern Bruce Robertson.
BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING
Mayor Blomquist called the Annual Meeting of the Board of
Equalization to order and stated that because the City Council had no official
business at tonights meeting, the meeting would be turned over to Mr. Don
Smith representing the Dakota County's Assessor's Office. Mr. Smith told the
audience of approximately 200 Eagan residents that first he would provide
discussion and answer general questions relating to property tax evaluations
and then handle questions on a one-on-one basis. After responding to about
ten (10) questions from the citizens in attendance the general meeting portion
of the Board of Equalization was adjourned. Mayor Blomquist and all members
of the City Council then signed the Dakota County property tax assessment
records for all Eagan properties. Present were twelve (12) property
appraisers from Dakota County who met with various property owners who were
located around the Council Chambers and outer lobby area to discuss their
individual evaluation questions.
ADJOURNMENT
The Annual Board of Equalization Meeting was formally adjourned at
approximately 8:45 p.m.
