MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
EAGAN CITY COUNCIL 04010
January 14, 1986
A special meeting of the Eagan City Council was held on Tuesday,
January 14, 1986, at 7:00 p.m. at the Eagan Municipal Center. Present were
Mayor Blomquist, Councilmembers Egan, Ellison, Smith and Wachter. Also
present was City Administrator Hedges.
COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE INTERVIEWS
Each year preceding the City's Organizational Meeting, candidates
expressing interest in seeking an appointment for an advisory committee or
commission are provided the opportunity for an interview with the City
Council. There were 19 residents who appeared for interviews seeking
appointments to either the Advisory Parks and Recreation Commission, Advisory
Planning Commission or Cable Television Commission. Residents who were
interviewed also included incumbents in some of those positions. Mayor
Blomquist acknowledged that there are only a few openings on each of the
Commissions and those persons who are not selected will be notified and their
names will be kept on record and contacted if openings occur on other
committees or commissions. The interviews were scheduled in ten to twelve
minute intervals throughout the evening. Upon completion of the interviews,
it was determined that any further discussion and the formal vote for
consideration of appointments will be scheduled at the regular City Council
meeting to be held on January 21.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:30
p.m.
